My Top 2: Spring 2014 Nail Polishes (Pastel)

Hello Everyone,

I am really sorry that I haven't uploaded for over 1 week now but I have been busy and I have not had time to blog. However, I would like to thank all of my viewers because I have been blogging for just over 1 month and already I have over 300 views which for me is crazy. I hope you continue to enjoy my blog and I hope my blog posts help and inspire you.

Today I am going to talk about my top 2 pastel nail polishes for spring/summer. I personally love bright colours on my nails but sometimes I want to have a calmer colour and I think pastels work for me the best (personally) because they are still quite pigmented but they're not too bright.

The first colour I would like to talk about is a baby pink colour from Maybelline New York. This nail polish is in the colour NEBLINE 77. I really like this colour because it is very subtle and not overwhelming so its perfect for days when you want to have quite natural looking nails. This nail polish is very pigmented however the first coat is streaky so I apply 2 coats. This nail polish also gives a glossy finish and doesn't chip quickly.

The second colour is a pastel mint colour from MUA. This is in the colour PISTACHIO ICE CREAM. If you have seen/read any of my other blog post you will know that I have a little obsession with the colour mint so I will be wearing this nail polish as well as other mint nail polishes in spring/summer. This nail polish is very pigmented and it gives an amazing result and it has more of a green undertone than a blue undertone. It is also quite glossy like the pastel pink nail polish.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I am back to uploading every Wednesday and Sunday. If I am busy then I will update you on twitter and instagram ( they are both @TrendsAndWonder). Share it with all your friends and family.

Comparing EOS And Balmi

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to be comparing the sweet mint EOS to the mint Balmi. I did get some EOS lip balms for Christmas but I believe they were bought online because you can't buy EOS products in England and I bought my Balmi in Boots but if you live in places like America you can buy EOS products in places like Walmart or Target.

The EOS comes in a sphere shape and the Balmi comes in a cube shape but the actual lip balm in the Balmi  is in a pyramid shape. The EOS is alot more solid than the Balmi and the product is more yellow whereas the Balmi is quite white but they both come out sheer on the lips. I find that the EOS does last alot longer on the lips than the Balmi does. I also find that you get less of the lip Balm in the Balmi because I haven't had my Balmi  for a week yet and I have already gone through half of it whereas I have had my EOS since Christmas and I still have alot of the lip balm left. The Balmi is alot more creamy but it is quite hard to get the lid back on which makes the Balmi very messy. After applying the lip balms they both leave a cooling tingle and they leave your lips very soft and smooth. Overall I think that I prefer the EOS because it lasts alot longer than the Balmi but they are nearly both as good as each other.

PS. Don't forget to vote for Bars and Melody if you watch Britain's Got Talent because they are in the finals and I think that they really deserve to win :)

Monthly Favourites: May 2014

Hello Everyone,

Today is the 1st of June so it is time for my first ever favourites blog post and today I am going to be talking about my favourite things throughout the month of May. I don't think I am going to do a favourites blog post every month just because I don't change all of the products I use each month but I am hoping to do a favourites blog post at least every 2 months.

The first favourite I would like to talk about is the VO5 ultimate hold weather resistant hairspray. This hairspray keeps your hairstyle in the same place all day but it doesn't make your hair feel or go crispy. I did only buy the travel size at first because I wanted to try it out before I bought the full size and I will definitely be buying the full size after I run out of the travel size. This hairspray is also weather resistant.

My next favourite is The Tanya burr lip gloss in the colour aurora. I have done a review on this lip gloss http://trendsandwonders.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/review-tanya-burr-lip-gloss.html so I am not going to talk a lot about it but overall it is amazing and I love it a lot. I have worn this lip gloss nearly every day throughout the month of May.

The next thing I have been loving is another lip product and it is the Maybelline Baby lips in the colour pink punch. I love this because it is really pigmented but it moisturises your lips a lot whilst your wearing it. It is a very bright pink colour which is perfect for spring/summer and it also smells amazing.

The next thing I will be talking about is a face powder from beautycycle. This powder just makes your base look flawless. After I apply my tinted moisturiser I blend my powder in with my next favourite and it just gives you an amazing finish. This face powder also gives a bit more coverage and it doesn't dry your skin out or make your face look cakey. I have this face powder in the colour light. I am running out so I will definitely look into repurchasing it.

My next favourite is a powder brush from models own. It is so soft and it is also very easy to use. I use it to blend my beautycycle powder into my skin and I couldn't ask for better results. It is very fluffy and it doesn't shed.

The next thing I would like to talk about is the Artistry balancing lotion. I use this as a daily face moisturiser. It is quite rich and it makes your skin very soft and smooth. It moisturises my face really well and it also balances out your skin tone.

My next favourite is the visibly clear pink grapefruit daily scrub by Neotrogena. It has little ex-foliating beads that get rid of dead skin cells leaving your face soft and smooth it also helps prevent blemishes. It is also very refreshing and it smells amazing. I use it twice a day and I have been loving the results.

My final favourite is a TV show and it is Britain's got talent. I watch it every single time its on and this week was the semi finals. I have been loving all of the acts but I am a huge fan of Bars and Melody. Bars and Melody are a duo made up of Leondre and Charlie. Leondre raps and Charlie sings and they are just amazing. They performed in the semi finals on Thursday and they won! I am hoping they win because they deserve it a lot. This was their first audition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3Rf5qDuq7M&noredirect=1
They also got the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell, I wish all of the semi finalists the best of luck for the finals.

So those are the things that I have been loving throughout the month of may. I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Share it with all of your friends and family.
